Digital publications and digital reading workshop is held today in National Library. Advocates from industry, government and education gather to discuss the future of digital publishing. Luis Kao(right), chairman of Taiwan’s Digital Publishing Alliance Association, and Ho Fei-peng(left), chairman of Taiwan’s Digital Publishing Alliance also join this workshop.

In this workshop, Luis Kao notes that members of Taiwan’s Digital Publishing Alliance Association are all local and small publishers. They are firmly convinced that innovation is the key to their survival.
He also suggests that government should integrate the specifications of e-books and assist local publishers to digitalize their own books.
Taiwan claims the best conditions of software and hardware development and the abundant Chinese contents. If we can effectively intergrate the digital publishing chain, we have the highest odds to be the citadel of “Chinese Digital Publishing.”
