Sony Reader Pocket Edition E-Book Reader

(11-02) 08:43 PST — The Sony Reader Pocket Edition (PRS-300) is about as inexpensive as e-book readers corrently get: $199 for a slim gadget with a 5-inch, 8-grayscale E Ink screen. It lacks extras that some competitors (most notably the similarly priced Astak EZReader PocketPro) offer, and it’s surprisingly heavy (7.75 ounces) for its petite dimensions (6.25 by 4.25 by 0.4 inches), but its top-flight design and usability amply compensate for the missing features.

As someone who currently owns an old Sony 505 and whose wife luxuriates in a Sony 600, we are both rather fond of Sony eReaders. We have both contemplated getting the PRS-300 as it is much more portable than our rather larger ones, so ideal for when we are going out to the beach or traveling in a crowded jeepney (we live in the Philippines).

As soon as I have purchased one for us, i shall be writing a review of it on my eReader blog, which might be interesting for you guys?

Anyway, for now, keep up the good work here,
